Film 35 was delighted to collaborate with Coffeelogy, a unique family-owned cafe in Southampton City Centre, to help them connect more deeply with their customer base. Prior to commencing the project, the Coffeelogy team reached out to us, seeking innovative ways to foster a stronger sense of community and family around their establishment. We proposed a comprehensive video package, encompassing both a traditional long-form interview and a series of engaging short-form Instagram Reels, designed to be easily digestible and shareable on social media.

Following our initial consultations, the Coffeelogy founder, Ai-Yoo, thoughtfully prepared a script for the interview, which we meticulously reviewed and refined together to ensure it captured the authentic spirit and unique charm of their cafe. With the script finalized, our production commenced, spread across two evening sessions to accommodate the cafe's busy daytime operations.

The first day was dedicated to capturing a variety of "B-roll" footage, showcasing the cafe's inviting atmosphere, its array of delicious coffee and homemade baked goods, and the heartfelt interactions that define the Coffeelogy experience. On the second day, we focused on the interview itself. Our team carefully set up professional lighting and scouted several locations within the cafe to find the perfect backdrop, ultimately selecting an optimal spot that highlighted the warmth and character of the space. To further enhance the visual ambiance and create a cozy, inviting feel, we subtly introduced artificial haze. Once the lighting was precisely calibrated, the interview with Ai-Yoo proceeded smoothly and efficiently.

Upon completion of the project, Coffeelogy expressed immense satisfaction with the results. We successfully captured the essence of their story and messages in a concise and impactful manner, requiring no additional tweaks or revisions. The interview was then expertly segmented into individual chapters, forming a series of Instagram Reels that the cafe can easily pin to their social media profile, allowing their audience to explore different facets of their heartwarming story. The collaboration was a resounding success, effectively translating Coffeelogy's vision into compelling visual content.
